The Charatacters
Dorothy Gail
Dorothy Gail is a young girl from Kansas. In the words of my little brother, "Dorothy is the most kindest girl ever!" She is trapped in a storm and brought to a land, called OZ. Her part, played by Judy Garland, is the starring role. Go along with her on her Journey down the Yellow Brick Road.
Toto
Toto is Dorothy's lovable little dog. He is also the soul reason that Dorothy ends up in OZ. Dorothy run away from home to save her dog from Ms. Gulch. Toto is equally helpful to Dorothy, as he is the one that leads Dorothy's friends to the Castle of the Wicked Witch, to save her from certain death.
The Scarecrow
"Ohh, I'm a failure because I haven't got a brain." On his way to see The Wizard with Dorothy, he is out to get himself a brain. This loveable character turns out to be Dorothy's favorite.
The Tinman
The Tinman is a very percular character indeed. His story is not told in the movie, but it does go into some detail in the book. He had fallen in love, and was cursed for it. As a woodsman he would go out eveyday and chop trees. unfortunately the curse made him chop off all of his extremites. As they were removed he would go to the Tins-man and have him make him Tin body parts. Eventually, he had chepped up his entire body. The Tin's man was unable to give him the insides of a person of course, and as he had been in love before, he wanted to feel it again. He Wish to get his heart back, for to him that would be more important than a brain.
The Cowardly Lion
"Its sad beleive me missy, when you're born to be a sissy, with out the vim and verve!" This giant beast is nothng but a coward. He tries to scare Dorothy and her friends away, but it doesn't work, and the real him starts to show.
The Wizard
"We hear he is a wiz of a wiz if ever oh ever a wiz there waz... ...becuase of the wondrful things he does." Even though he turns out to be a humbug, he does help Dorothy get home again, or tries to. All and all he's "not a bad man, just a bad wizard."
THE WITCHES OF OZ
Glinda the Good Witch
Glinda is the Good Witch of the North (or south if you go by the books). She Travels in a giant pink bubble. With her help Dorothy recieves the Rubies Slippers, and the hatred of the Witch of the West. She is always there though when Dorothy needs her help.
The Witch of the East
This witch holds the people of Munchkin Land in bondage. Lucky for the Munchkins Dorothy's house drops on her from out of the sky, and kills her, causing a great celerbration in Munchkin Land.
The Wicked Witch of the West
"Who killed the witch of the east was it you?!" This Character is my personal favorite. She is so sinicle, and never gives up. She after Dorothy's Ruby Slippers, and tries everything to get them back. "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too, ahhh heh heh heh heh!"
